  • 简介:Inliterature,studentengagementwasdiscussedintermsofbehavioralengagement,cognitiveengagement,andmotivationalengagement.Ifstudentsareengaged,theydemonstratetheireffort,persistence,andinstrumentalhelp-seekingbehaviors.Thepurposeofthisstudywastogainadeeperunderstandingofthecollaborativelearningthatinfluenceorcontributetoengagementinlearningamongeducationstudents.Aqualitativedescriptiveapproachwasadoptedtoexploretheperceptionsofengagementamongtheselectededucationstudents.Inthestudy,semi-structuredinterviewswereconducted.Usingthematicanalysistechniques,thetranscribedinterviewdatawerecoded,categorized,andanalyzed.Theywereputintofivemajorthemes:(a)effortandcommitment;(b)teachingstrategiesused;(c)interestenhancement;(d)positiveimpacts;and(e)positiveattitudes.Thisstudyfoundoutthattheeducationstudents’engagementinteaching,learningEnglishcouldbeenhancedthroughcollaborativelearning,andtheirdivergenceinengagementcanbetopicsforfurtherresearch.
