Adual-ratepreviewcontrolstrategyforatypeofdiscrete-timesystemisproposedbasedonthetheoryofmultiratecontrol.First,byusingthediscreteliftingtechnique,thegeneraldual-ratediscrete-timesystemisconvertedintoasingle-rateaugmentedsystem.Onthisbasis,theaugmentederrorsystemisconstructedbyintroducingafirst-orderdifferenceoperatorandthepreviewablereferencesignal.Thenthetrackingproblemistransformedintoaregulatorproblemoftheaugmentederrorsystem.Theoptimalpreviewcontrollawoftheaugmentederrorsystemisobtainedbyusingstandardlinearquadraticoptimalpreviewcontroltheory,andthentheoptimalpreviewcontrolleroftheoriginalsystemisderived.Inaddition,thenecessaryandsufficientconditionsforthecontrolleraregiven.Finally,simulationresultsshowtheeffectivenessoftheproposedmethod.
