简介:Thenucleationoforderedphasewassimulatedbasedonmicroscopicdiffusionequationandtheassumptionsoftheclassicalnucleationtheorywereexamined.Thequantitativecalculationsofinterfacethicknessevolutionwereaccomplishedforthefirsttime.Itwasfoundthattheinterfacesbetweenorderedphaseanddisorderedmatrixwerediffuse.Theinterfacethicknessdecreasedwithtime,fromtheinitial1.2nmtoanequilibriumvalue0.6nm.Theratiosoftheradiusoforderedparticlesandtheinterfacethicknessmonotonouslyincreased,buttheywereofthesameorderofmagnitudeallthetime.Thesharpinterfaceassumptionshouldnotbeadoptedinthisstage.FortheAl-10%Li(atomfraction)alloyagedat192℃,theassumptionsoftheclassicalnucleationtheorydisagreedwiththefacts.Thephasetransformationfollowedthenon-classicalnucleationmechanismandtheapplicablescopeoftheclassicalnucleationshouldbeconfined.
简介:X-raydiffraction(XRD)anddifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC)wereusedtoinvestigatethecrystallizationprocessofamorphousAl90TMxCe10-x(atomfractionin%;TM=FeorNi;x=3,5)alloys.AgingeffectswereexaminedbyX-raydiffraction.ThestructurecorrespondingtotheprepeakfortheamorphousAl90Fe5Ce5alloyismorestablethantheamorphousmatrix,butitisnotstableforamorphousAl90Ni5Ce5alloyduringthefirstcrystallizationstageandevendecomposesatroomtemperature.AlthoughbothAl-NiandAl-Fehavestrongchemicalbonding,thecrystallizationonsettemperatureofamorphousAl-Fe-CealloysismuchhigherthanthatofamorphousAl-Ni-Cealloys,whichislikelycausedbythedifferentstabilityofthestructurecorrespondingtotheprepeak.ThecrystallizationonsettemperatureincreasesasCe/NiratioincreasesinamorphousAl90NixCe10-xalloys,whereasitdecreasesasCe/FeratioincreasesinamorphousAl90FexCe10-xalloys.AbetteratomicpackingproducesasCecontentincreasesbecauseofthesizemismatchinAlNi-CesystemsandasFecontentincreasesbecauseoftheincreasingFecentralstructuralunits.

简介:DD6alloywasbondedbytransientliquidphase(TLP)diffusionbonding.Themaincompositionsoftheinterlayeralloyemployedweresimilartothoseofthebasemetal,DD6,andacertainamountofelementBwasaddedasthemeltingpointdepressant.Theresultsshowthatitisdifficulttoobtainthejointswiththemicrostructurescompletelyhomogeneous.ForthejointTLPdiffusionbondedat1290℃for12h,abouthalfareasofthebeampossessedαγ+γ′microstructure,nearlyidenticalwiththatofthebasemetal,andtheotherlocalareasconsistedofT-solution,borides,etc.Prolongingthebondingtimeto24h,theinhomogeneousareasinthejointreduced,andthejointpropertyimproved.Thejointstress-rupturestrengthat980℃and1100℃reached90%-100%and70%-80%ofthoseofthebasemetalrespectively.
简介:InordertoimprovetheelectrochemicalcyclestabilityofLa-Mg-Nisystem(PuNi3-type)hydrogenstoragealloy,NiinthealloyswaspartiallysubstitutedbyM(M=Cu,Al,Mn).AnewLa-Mg-NisystemelectrodealloysLa0.7Mg0.3Ni2.55-xCo0.45Mx(M=Cu,Al,Mn;x=0,0.1)werepreparedbycastingandrapidquenching.Theeffectsofelementsubstitutionandrapidquenchingonthemicrostructuresandelectrochemicalperformancesofthealloyswereinvestigated.TheresultsbyXRD,SEMandTEMshowthatthealloyshaveamultiphasestructure,includingthe(La,Mg)Ni3phase,theLaNi5phaseandtheLaNi2phase.Therapidquenchingandelementsubstitutionhaveanimperceptibleinfluenceonthephasecompositionsofthealloys,butbothchangethephaseabundanceofthealloys.Therapidquenchingsignificantlyimprovesthecompositionhomogeneityofthealloysandmarkedlydecreasesthegrainsizeofthealloys.TheCusubstitutionpromotestheformationofanamorphousphaseintheas-quenchedalloy,andareversalresultbytheAlsubstitution.Theelectrochemicalmeasurementindicatesthattheelementsubstitutiondecreasesthedischargecapacityofthealloys,whereasitobviouslyimprovesthecyclestabilityofthealloys.ThepositiveinfluenceofelementsubstitutiononthecyclelifeofthealloysisinsequenceAl>Cu>Mn,andnegativeinfluenceonthedischargecapacityisinsequenceAl>Mn>Cu.Therapidquenchingsignificantlyenhancesthecyclestabilityofthealloys,butitleadstoadifferentextentdecreaseofthedischargecapacityofthealloys.
简介:ThestructureandelectrochemicalpropertiesofanewlowcobalthydrogenstorageelectrodealloysLa1-xLixNi3.2Co0.3Al0.3(0≤x≤0.2)wereinvestigatedwithadifferentadditionsofLiinreplacementofLa.WiththeincreaseofLicontentsthemaximumdischargecapacityincreasesfrom240mAh·g-1(x=0)to328.4mAh·g-1(x=0.1)andthecyclestabilityisimprovedcorrespondingly.ThecapacitydecaycanremaiN28.6%(x=0.2)after230charge/dischargecycles.Thehighratedischarge(HRD)abilityofthealloys(x≤0.1)isimprovedandthebestHRDis34.1%(x=0.1)underthedischargecurrentdensity1200mA·g-1.ItisfoundthatthepreparedalloysarebasicallycomposedofLaNi5asmatrixphaseandLaNi3assecondphase(x≤0.1).ButtheabundanceofLaNi3phasedramaticallydecreaseswithincreasingx.Whenx=0.2,anewphaseAl(NiCo)3isformed.
简介:Theeffectsofprocessparametersonthemicrostructuralevolution,includinggrainsizeandvolumefractionoftheαphaseduringhotformingofaTC6alloywereinvestigatedusingcompressiontests.Experimentswereconductedonthematerialwith(α+β)phasesatdeformationtemperaturesof800,860,920,and950°C,strainratesof0.001,0.01,1,and50s-1,andheightdirectionreductionsof30%,40%,and50%.Afterreachingapeakvaluenear920°C,thegrainsizeandvolumefractiondecreasewithfurtherincreaseofdeformationtemperature.ThestrainrateaffectsthemorphologiesandgrainsizeofαphaseoftheTC6titaniumalloy.Atalowerstrainrate,theeffectofthestrainrateonthevolumefractionisgreaterthanthatatahigherstrainrateundertheexperimentalconditions.Theeffectsofthestrainrateonthemicrostructurealsoresultfromdeformationheating.Thegrainsizeoftheαphaseincreaseswithanincreaseinheightdirectionreductionafteranearlydrop.Theeffectofheightdirectionreductiononthevolumefractionissimilartothatofthegrainsize.AlloftheopticalmicrographsandquantitativemetallographyshowthatdeformationprocessparametersaffectthemicrostructureduringhotformingoftheTC6alloy,andacorrelationbetweenthetemperature,strain,andstrainrateappearstobeasignificantfuzzycharacteristic.
