  • 简介:Thispaperproposesanovelregistrationmethodforaugmentedreality(AR)systemsbasedonOrientedFASTandRotatedBRIEF(ORB)andFastRetinaKeypoint(FREAK)naturalfeatures.IntheproposedORBFREAKmethod,featureextractionisimplementedbasedonthecombinationofORBandFREAK,andthefeaturepointsarematchedusingHammingdistance.Togetgoodmatchingpoints,cross-checksandleastmediansquaresareusedtoperformoutlierfiltration,andcameraposeisestimatedusingthematchedpoints.Finally,ARisrendered.Experimentsshowthattheproposedmethodimprovesthespeedofregistrationtobeinrealtime;theproposedmethodcanaccuratelyregisterthetargetobjectunderthecircumstancesofpartialocclusionoftheobject;anditalsocanovercometheeffectsofrotation,scalechange,ambientlightanddistance.

  • 简介:Inordertoeliminatedisplacementandelasticdeformationbetweenimagesofadjacentframesincourseof3Dultrasonicimagereconstruction,elasticregistrationbasedonskeletonfeaturewasadoptinthispaper.Anewautomaticallyskeletontrackingextractalgorithmispresented,whichcanextractconnectedskeletontoexpressfigurefeature.Featurepointsofconnectedskeletonareextractedautomaticallybyaccountingtopicalcurvatureextremepointsseveraltimes.Initialregistrationisprocessedaccordingtobarycenterofskeleton.Whereafter,elasticregistrationbasedonradialbasisfunctionareprocessedaccordingtofeaturepointsofskeleton.Resultofexampledemonstratethataccordingtotraditionalrigidregistration,elasticregistrationbasedonskeletonfeatureretainnaturaldifferenceinshapefororgan'sdifferentpart,andeliminateslightelasticdeformationbetweenframescausedbyimageobtainedprocesssimultaneously.Thisalgorithmhasahighpracticalvalueforimageregistrationincourseof3Dultrasoundimagereconstruction.

  • 简介:Homologousfeaturepointextractionisakeyproblemintheopticalandsyntheticapertureradar(SAR)imageregistrationforislands.Anewfeaturepointextractionmethodusingathresholdshrinkoperatorandnon-subsampledwavelettransform(TSO-NSWT)foropticalandSARimageregistrationwasproposed.Moreover,thematchingforthisproposedfeaturewasdifferentfromthetraditionalfeaturematchingstrategiesandwasperformedusingasimilaritymeasurecomputedfromneighborhoodcirclesinlow-frequencybands.Then,anumberofreliablymatchedcoupleswithevendistributionswereobtained,whichassuredtheaccuracyoftheregistration.ApplicationoftheproposedalgorithmtoSPOT-5(multi-spectral)andYG-1(SAR)imagesshowedthatalargenumberofaccuratelymatchedcouplescouldbeidentified.Additionally,bothoftherootmeansquareerror(RMSE)patternsoftheregistrationparameterscomputedbasedontheTSO-NSWTalgorithmandtraditionalNSWTalgorithmwereanalyzedandcompared,whichfurtherdemonstratedtheeffectivenessoftheproposedalgorithm.Thealgorithmcansupplythecrucialstepforislandimageregistrationandislandrecognition.

  • 简介:Segmentingwholeheartfromcardiaccomputedtomography(CTimagescanprovideanimportantbasisfortheevaluationofcardiacfunctionandhelpimprovetheaccuracyofclinicaldiagnosis.Manualsegmentationisthemostaccuratemethodforcardiacsegmentation.Butitistimeconsumingandnotsufficientlyreproducible.However,cliniciansstillrelyonthismethodinpracticalapplications.Soafullyautomaticmethodisneededtoimprovethesegmentationefficiency.Thispapeproposesaregistration-basedautomaticapproachforthree-dimensional(3DsegmentationofcardiacCTimages.TheproposedmethodutilizesthesimilarityocardiacCTimagesbetweendifferentindividuals,andusesregistrationtoachievethesegmentation.Affinetransformationisfirstlyimplementedtoachieveglobalcoarseregistration.Then,cubicB-splinesareusedtorefinethelocaldetailsinlocallyaccurateregistration.Mutualinformation(Ml)isusedasthesimilaritymeasure,andadaptivestochasticgradientdescent(ASGD)astheoptimizationalgorithm.Oumethodisappliedtothedual-sourcecardiacCTimagestosegmentwholeheartExperimentalresultsshowthattheproposedmethodcanautomaticallysegmentwholeheartfromcardiacCTimages.

  • 简介:X-rayimagingistheconventionalmethodfordiagnosingtheorthopedicconditionofapatient.ComputerizedTomography(CT)scanningisanotherdiagnosticmethodthatprovidespatient’s3Danatomicalinformation.However,bothmethodshavelimitationswhendiagnosingthewholeleg;X-rayimagingdoesnotprovide3Dinformation,andnormalCTscanningcannotbeperformedwithastandingposture.Obtaining3Ddataregardingthewholeleginastandingpostureisclinicallyimportantbecauseitenables3Danalysisintheweightbearingcondition.Basedontheseclinicalneeds,ahardware-basedbi-planeX-rayimagingsystemhasbeendeveloped;itusestwoorthogonalX-rayimages.However,suchmethodshavenotbeenmadeavailableingeneralclinicsbecauseofthehightcost.Therefore,weproposedawidelyadaptivemethodfor2DX-rayimageand3DCTscandata.Bythismethod,itispossibletothreedimensionallyanalyzethewholeleginstandingposture.TheoptimalpositionthatgeneratesthemostsimilarimageisthecapturedX-rayimage.Thealgorithmverifiesthesimilarityusingtheperformanceoftheproposedmethodbysimulation-basedexperiments.Then,weanalyzedtheinternal-externalrotationangleofthefemurusingrealpatientdata.Approximately10.55degreesofinternalrotationswerefoundrelativetothedefinedanterior-posteriordirection.Inthispaper,wepresentausefulregistrationmethodusingtheconventionalX-rayimageand3DCTscandatatoanalyzethewholelegintheweight-bearingcondition.
