简介:Itisanefficientwayforamobilehosttoobtainmulticastserviceviaalocalmulticastrouteronthevisitednetwork.However,thereisapossibilityforatemporarydisruptionofmulticastserviceduetothejoinlatencyandotherissuesinhandoffprocedure.Thispaperproposesaschemetosolvesuchaproblem.Asmoothhandoffmechanismisintroducedtoavoidunnecessarydataloss.Besides,anymobilityagentcapableofmulticastcanbeappointedtoprovideservicetomobilehosts,whichmakesitpossibletodeploytheprotocolwidely.Discrete-eventsimulationswereconductedtosurveytheperformanceoftheproposedscheme.Thesimulationresultsshowthattheschemehasbetterperformancethanthecomparedapproaches.
