简介:InNo.50kimberlitepipeofFuxianCounty,LiaoningProvince,aneclogiteinclusion(nodule),whichisextremelyrareinkimberlites,wasdiscoveredandphlogopiteexsolutionlamellaewerefoundingarnetsoftheinclusion.Microscopic,TEMandenergyspectralobserva-tionsandstudiesconfirmedthattheselamellaearephlogopite.Theyarecolourlessandacicularinsection,generally0.5-5μminwidthand10-100μminlength.Nevertheless,finelamellae,0.05-0.1μmwideand1-2μmlong,arealsowelldeveloped.Along[111]ofthegarnet,threesetsofphlogopitelamellaeshoworientedarrangementapproximatelyatanglesof60°-70°,indi-catingthattheselamellaemightbetheproductofexsolutionfromgarnetasaresultofpressure-releasewheneclogiteascendedfromtherelativelydeepleveltotherelativelyshallowlevelofthemantle.Tinyacicularexsolutionminerals(orinclusions)arecommonlyfoundingarnetandpyroxeneineclogiteinclusionsofkimberlitesallovertheworldandithasbeenre-portedthattheidentifiedexsolutionmineralsincludepyroxeneandrutile.Thisisthefirsttimethatphlogopiteexsolutionlamillaewerefoundineclogiteinclusionsintheworld.
