ConstructingareasonablereactionkineticmodelforCr-containingwasteincinerationisofhighsignificancetostudytheeffectofvariousfactors,suchastemperature,Cl,onitshexavalentchromiumcompounds.Inthispaper,aprimaryCr/H/Air/ClreactionkineticmodelisbuiltandstudiedbyGaussian03codewithquantumchemistrytheory.Numericalresultsshowthattherearetwooverallreactionsinthemodel,eachofthetwooverallreactionsconsistsoftheirrespectivetwoelementaryreactions.Sothetwooverallreactionsshouldbeomittedfromthemodel.Instead,thefourelementaryreactionsshouldbeaddedintheCr/H/Air/Clreactionkineticmodel.Theactivationenergiesofthefourelementaryreactionsarealsocalculated.
