摘 要:随着英语课改的深入,英语学科的核心素养不容忽视。本文从人教版七年级一节阅读课入手,分析通过文本提升和发展学生的学科核心素养。
关键词:英语文本;阅读教学;核心素养
一、引言
《普通高中英语课程标准(2017年版2020年修订)》提出,英语教学要培养学生的核心素养。因此教师在教学中注重学生核心素养的培养,使其适应时代的需求,探究学科内容,提升英语学习的综合能力。
阅读课融合了文化内涵和语言赏读,是课程工具性和人文性的统一。探究阅读教学,指导学生深度阅读,促进核心素养的发展,对提升阅读教学的实效性有重要意思。
二、优化阅读教学策略
阅读教学通常包括预测、思考、寻找信息、讨论、理解意思与作者意图等环节。现在以七年级下Birthday Food Around the World为例。
(一)利用插图,通过说来巧妙释词
让学生观察插图,通过有效问题预测文章。问题如下:
What can you see in the picture?
Today is a special day for the girl, do you know why?
The girl is the birthday person, do you know how old she is?
How do you know the girl’s age?
通过问答,学生了解文章的内容,答案解释新词the number of的用法,即The number of candles tells us how old the birthday person is.
(二)巧审标题,培养学生预测和发散思维能力
读标题,引导学生大胆推测,积极交流,自主表达。如What kind of birthday foods do you know? What countries do you think the article is going to talk about?
(三)精读文本,层层设问,培养学生分析和思维能力
Task I: Read the article quickly and match the main idea with each paragraph.
Para 1 different food, the same idea
Para 2 birthday food in China
Para 3 birthday food in many countries and in the UK
Para 4 different birthday food in different countries
寻读文章,核对过程中,用白板笔,根据学生的答案现场连线,激发学生思考和讨论。
Task II: Read the 1st paragraph carefully and fill in the blanks.
Q: What do people like__________________?
A: The answer isn’t ___________ in different countries.
将same变成 not different同义替换。
Task III: Read the 2nd paragraph and answer the following questions.
1. What does a birthday person do on his or her birthday?
2. How can a person make his or her birthday wish come true?
3. What do people in the UK sometimes put in a birthday cake? And why?
第二题答案He or she blows out all the candles in one go. 在第二题的基础上问:Do you think blowing out all the candles in one go can really make the wish come true? If your wish is to get a full mark in English exam, how can you make your wish come true? 问题的设问,激发学生思考如何实现自己的梦想。
Task IV. Four students in a group, read the 3rd paragraph, make the questions in groups.
第二段教师提问,学生作答。第三段以小组讨论的方式提问题,同伴作答。帮学生理清文章脉络,激发思考探索,培养挖掘文本能力和思维能力。问答结束后,教师设问:What do the underlined parts tell us?
In China, it is getting popular to have cake on your birthday. But many people still eat very long noodles for their birthday. 通过对get popular和still的理解来体验和感知不同文化的融合,学会尊重不同文化和树立文化自信。
Task V: Read the 4th paragraph and answer the following question.
What are ideas behind these birthday foods?
这些活动要求学生认真阅读,积极思考,深刻理解,用英语思维和表达。
根据文本,引导学生理清文章结构,分析归纳和总结提炼的思维能力。以Birthday Food Around the World为例,理解文章后,要求学生集体朗读并分段。准确的朗读,可以增强语言能力,提高英语的敏感度,使学生更好地掌握英语。读后问题:Can you guess how many parts this article is made up of ? What are they?
根据内容将本文分为三部分,即Beginning part, body part和ending part. 并设问,How does the writer begin the article?
学生通过板书思维导图分段复述文章,复述是理解基础上的创新。不仅有利于学生对材料的理解、巩固和积累,也有利于提高学生想象力、处理语言能力和思维能力。
教师给学生提供两国家的生日食物,学生根据信息来叙述。

此活动使学生了解更多国家文化。通过仿写,引导学生模仿语篇框架,表达自己的情感态度,培养创造性思维。
在阅读教学中,除了向学生传输知识和技能外,有意识地培养思维能力和文化认同感。教师挖掘教材中的素材,培养学生的预测能力,发展学生逻辑思维能力,拓宽学生文化视野,在阅读课堂中,使学生核心素养真正的提升。
