BeamresponsesunderanimpactNDTloadarestudiedusingtheFourierandLaplacetransforms.Numericalcomputationisperformedforaparametricstudyofbeamandloadparameters.Itisshownthatunderanimpactload,thetimedurationfordisplacementtovanishistentimeslongerthanthatforvelocityandacceleration.Themaximumresponseisachievedfirstinacceleration,followedbyvelocity,andfinallydisplacement,allofwhichoccurbeforetheimpactloadisremoved.Atthemomentthattheimpactloadisremovedfromthebeam,thereisadiscontinuityinthevelocityandaccelerationresponses,butnotindisplacementresponse.TheeffectofKandphonbeamresponseismuchlesssignificantthanthatofEIandC,whichhavesimilareffectonbeamresponse.AsEIincreases,peakvaluesofdisplacement,velocityandaccelerationresponsedecrease.TheeffectofKonbeamresponseonlybecomesappreciableaftertheimpactloadisremoved.WhilethepeakofdisplacementremainalmostunchangedasKincreases,thedisplacementresponsedecaystozerofasterforlargeKvaluesthanforsmallKvalues.
