Realisticsimulationofunderwatersceneisalwaysdifficultbecauseofthespecialandcomplexvisioneffectsinunderwaterspace.Seabedisanimportantpartofunderwaterenvironment.ThispaperdescribesthemethodsforseabedscenesimulationbasedonOpenGL.Itincludesconstructionoffluctuantterrainbasedontherandomsinusoidalalgorithm,simulationofseabedflickereffectbymeansofcirculartexturemappingandgenerationofturbidityeffectbyusingfogtechniques.Fortheapplicationbasedontheleadinghighlevel3Ddevelopmentenvironment-Vega,underwaterscenesimulationisstilladifficultysincethereisnomoduleforit.BasedontheanalysisofVegasoftwareandtheresearchonseabedscenesimulationmethods,aVegaextendingmodulenamed'UnderwaterSpace'wascreatedthroughdevelopingmoduleclassandextendinglynxinterface.ThemoduleclasswasdesignedthroughdevelopingDLLwritteninC++.TheLynxwasextendedthroughdevelopingkeywordconfigurefile,GUIconfigurefileandlynxplug-inDLL.TheproblemthatVegacan'tsimulateunderwaterspace,iselementarilyresolved.Theresultsshowthatthismoduleisefficient,easyusing,andtheseabedsceneimagesarevivid.
