TheestablishmentoftheChinaPilotFreeTradeZone(FTZ)hassignificantlypromotedinternationaltrade,financialdevelopment,andeconomicgrowth.Buildinginternationalfinancialcenters(IFCs)satisfiesthedemandforFTZstofacilitatefinancialdevelopment,aswellaspromotingeconomicgrowth.Thus,successfullypredictingthenextIFCinChinaundertheFTZframeworkisanimportantissue.Inthisstudy,weappliedgreyrelationalanalysiscombinedwithentropymethodtopredictpotentialIFCsamongsevenFTZcities.Accordingtotheresults,ourinterestingfindingsinclude:1)the'totalstockturnover','totalvalueofimportsandexports',and'ForeignDirectInvestment(FDI)'arekeyindicatorsfordeterminingfutureIFCs;2)amongsevencities,ShenzhenandTianjinarehighlylikelytobecomethenextIFCs,whileShanghaiisalreadyanIFC.
