Thehighpowerholeyfiberisanefficientsupercontinuumlightsourcebyusingpicosecondpulse,whichisalessexpensivelasersourcecomparedwithlowpowerandexpensivefemtosecondlasersources.Inthispaper,ahighpowerhighlynonlinearholeyfiber(HN-HF)withalowconfinementlossisproposedforsupercontinuumlightsources.ThefinitedifferencemethodisusedtocalculatethedifferentpropertiesoftheproposedHN-HF.Highnonlinearcoefficientsareobtainedat1.06μm,1.31μm,and1.55μmwavelengthswithflattenedchromaticdispersionandlowconfinementlossessimultaneously.Moreover,numericalsimulationresultsshowthathighpowerbroadsupercontinuumspectrawithveryshortlengthoftheproposedphotoniccrystalfiberareachieved.
