Asaresultofthenonlineareffect,acousticstreaminghasbeenwidelyusedforincreasingthetransportcoefficientordrivingarotor,forexample,inresonantcavitiesandnon-contactultrasonicmotors.IthasbeendemonstratedbyexperimentsthatatemperaturegradienttransversetothewavepropagatingdirectioncansignificantlyincreasethevelocityofthestreamingBowsinresonantcavities.Tocheckwhetherthetransversetemperaturegradientcanalsoincreasetheworkingvelocityofacousticstreaming-drivenmotors,weinvestigatethisissuebynumericallysolvingthehydrodynamicequations.Itisfoundthatthevelocityoftherotoronlyweaklydependsonthetransversetemperaturegradient,e.g.,evenwithatemperaturedifferenceof40℃betweentherotorandthestator,thevelocityincreasesonly~8.8%.
