Graphitedusthasanimportanteffectonthesafetyofhigh-temperaturegas-cooledreactors(HTR).Theflowfieldinthesteamgeneratorwasstudiedbythecomputationalfluiddynamics(CFD)method,withtheresultsindicatingthatthefrictionvelocityinthewindwardandtheleewardoftheheattransfertubesisrelativelylowandishigheratthesides.Furtheranalysisoftheresuspensionofgraphitedustindicatesthattheresuspensionfractionreachesnearlyzeroforparticleswithadiameterlessthan1μm,whereasitwillincreasesastheheliumvelocityinthesteamgeneratorincreasesforparticlesizelargerthan1μm.Moreover,theresuspensionfractionincreasesastheparticlesizeincreases.Theresultsalsoindicatethatresuspensionoftheparticleswithsizeslargerthan1μmexhibitedobviousdifferencesindifferentpartsofthesteamgenerator.
