Sprayingtestwereconductedtwicebeforesteelslabswereputintothefurnaceandtheeffectsoftheoxidationresistancecoatingwereinvestigatedandverified.Bycomparingthechangeofslabweight,rollingforceoftheroughingmill&finishingmill,thicknessofoxidefilmonthesurfaceslabsbyanXL-30SEMandacidpicklingspeedofslabswithandwithoutcoating,itwasfoundthattheoxidizationwasteinthefurnacedecreasedby40percentwiththeuseofthecoatingandthecorrespondingyieldcapacitycouldincreaseby0.2percentatleast.Besides,thethicknessofoxidescalefilmonhotrolledproductswasreducedby1.44micrometersandtheacidpicklingtimewasshortenedby6swiththecoatingtechnology,whilethetotalrollingforceofRM&FMdidnotchanged.Furthermore,theapplicationprospectofthistechnologywasalsodiscussedinthispaper.
