Aseriesofcoal-basedactivecarbon(AC)catalystsloadedbyFe-Cu,Fe-Cu-CeandFe-Cu-Lawerepreparedbythesol-gelmethodforcarbondisulfide(CS2)hydrolysisandtheirperformancesforCS2hydrolysisinafixed-bedreactorwereinvestigatedinthiswork.TheresultsshowedthatthekindofrareearthoxideanditscontenthadobviouseffectonhydrolysisremovalofCS2.Theeffectsoftemperature,spacevelocity,CS2concentrationandO2concentrationwerealsodiscussedrespectively.Furthermore,thesuitableoperatingconditionswereobtained.Itwasfoundthatthepoisoningofhydrolysisactivesitescouldresultintheformationofsulfuricacidonthecatalystsurface.
