Dragon is a totem in Chinese culture. In feudal society,the process of learning a language is a process of learning its culture. Traditional foreign language teaching in China attaches great importance to language teaching but ignores cultural teaching,which is subjected to quite a few social and cultural factors. Thus English teachers should make great efforts to cultivate students’ cultural awareness. However
