NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE NON-NEWTONIAN BLOOD FLOW IN THE NON-PLANAR ARTERY WITH BIFURCATION-中国期刊网

摘要 Anumericalanalysisofnon-Newtonianfluidflowinnon-planararterywithbifurcationwasperformedbyusingafiniteelementmethodtosolvethethree-dimensionalNavier-Stokesequationscoupledwiththenon-Newtonianconstitutivemodels,includingCarreau,CrossandBinghammodels.Theobjectiveofthisstudyistoinvestigatetheeffectsofthenon-Newtonianpropertiesofbloodaswellascurvatureandout-of-planegeometryinthenon-planardaughtervesselsonthevelocitydistributionandwallshearstress.Theresultsofthisstudysupporttheviewthatthenon-planarityofbloodvesselsandthenon-Newtonianpropertiesofbloodareofimportantinhemodynamicsandplayasignificantroleinvascularbiologyandpathophysiology.
