摘要 FivenearlyE-W-trendingalkali-richigneousrockbeltsaredistributedfromnorthtosouthinnorthernXinjiang,andtheyarecomposedmainlyofriebeckite,K-feldspargraniteandhigh-Kandmedium-Kcalc-alkalinevolcanicrocksandshoshonite.TheyweremainlyemplacedoreruptedbetweentheCarboniferousandPermian.ThecompositionsofSr,Nd,Pb,andOisotopesimplythattheirprincipalresourcematerialsarederivedfromtheuppermantleorjuvenilecrust,indicatingobviouscontinentalgrowthinthePhanerozoic.Thetraceelementassociationimpliesthattheirtectonicsettingsarewithinplateandvolcanicarcforalkali-richgranites,andpost-collisionalarc,lateoceanicarcandcontinentalarcforalkali-richvolcanicrocks.AnarchipelagomodelwassuggestedforthetectonicevolutioninnorthernXinjiang.Itcanbenamedthecentral-Asia-typeorogeny,whichisdifferentfromthesocalledcircum-Pacificocean-continent-typetectonicsortheAlpine-Himalayancontinent-continent-collisional
