简介:Photoconductivesemiconductorswitches(PCSSs)arewidelyusedinhighpowerultra-widebandsourceapplicationsandprecisesynchronizationcontrolduetotheirhighpowerlow-jitterhigh-repetition-frequency.Inthisletter,a14-mmgapsemi-insulatingGaAsPCSSbiasedunder20kVistriggeredbya1064-nmlaserwitharepetitionfrequencyof30Hz.Althoughthetriggerconditionisgreaterthanthethresholdofthelock-oneffect,thehighgainmodeisnotobserved.TheresultsindicatethatthehighgainmodeofthePCSSisquenchedbydecreasingtheremnantvoltageofpulsedenergystoragecapacitor.
