简介:MountWutai(FiveTerraces)liesinthenortheasternpartofWutaiCounty,Shanxi.AmountainchainoftheTaihangMountains,itoverlooksTaiyuanoffthesouth,isseparatedfromtheHengshanMountainstothenorth,andconnectswiththeYonmenPassatitsnorthwestend.Withacircumferenceofsome250kilometers,coveringanareaof376squarekilometers,MountWutaiisactuallyadusteroffiveflat-toppedpeaks——thenorthern,southern,eastern,western,andmiddlepeaks——standinginacircle.Thetopsofthesefivetoweringpeaksaresolargethateachofthemmeasuresfrom6to7hectares.SincetheSouthernandNortherndynasties(420-589),greatnumbersoftempleshadbeenbuiltoverthemountainsuntilitbecameamountainparticularlyfamousforitsoldbuildingssurvivinginChina.Accordingtoa1956census,therewereinMountWutaiatotalof122temples,with47well-preservedandthreelistedasnationalprotectionstatus.
简介:登临五台山,徜徉在寺庙集群区,或晨曦初萌,或暮霭低垂,和着山泉伴着风铃,你会听到一种不似仙音胜似仙音的曲乐,令你久久神往,如醉如痴。这就是佛山圣境的庙堂音乐。庙堂音乐最初源于印度的梵音佛曲,随着历代佛教事业的兴起,逐步吸取了中国唐宋曲牌,元代杂剧、散曲,以及昆曲、民歌、民间器乐曲等发展而来。翻开有关记载,我国庙堂音乐分南北两个系统,北系统又分东西两路流派。五台山寺庙音乐属北方系统,又独立于东西两路流派之外,自成风采。而五台山寺庙又分青庙与黄庙两个派别。青庙讲究“入法”,即规矩,风格幽雅、静谧。黄庙不拘一格,曲调明朗、自如,富有民间色彩。青庙使用“管调”,黄庙使用“角调”,青黄庙都用工尺谱记乐曲。
