简介:Thefoundationofanyteachingprogramshouldbetheneedsofthestudents.Asyllabuscanbesuccessfulonlyifitmeetstheneedsoftheparticulargroupofstudentsforwhomitisintended.However,closeneedsanalysishasbeenabsentinsomeEnglishclasses.ThepresentstudyaimedtosolvetheproblemofthepossiblemismatchbetweenEnglishlearnersandteachersespeciallyintheintensiveEnglishtrainingclass.ToidentifytheEnglishstudents’needsinanintensiveEnglishtrainingclass,thequestionnairesdesignedbytheresearcherwereadministeredtothestudents.ItwasfoundthattheEnglishteachingwouldbebasedonrealcommunication.Finally,thetentativesyllabuswasdesignedforEnglishteachingbasedontheresultoftheneedanalysis.
