简介:Fordirectsequencespreadspectrum(DSSS)receivers,thecapabilityofrejectingnarrow-bandinterferencecanbesignificantlyimprovedbyaprocessoffrequency-domaininterferencesuppression(FDIS).Thekeyissueofthisprocessishowtodetermineathresholdtoeliminateinterferenceinthefrequencydomain,whichhasbeenextensivelystudied.However,thesepreviousmethodsaretediousorverycomplex.Asimpleandefficientalgorithmbasedonmediansisproposed.Theeliminationthresholdisonlyrelatedtothemedianbyascalefactor,whichcanbeobtainedbythenumericalanalysis.Simulationresultsshowthatthealgorithmprovidesexcellentnarrow-bandinterferencesuppressionwhileonlyslightlydegradingthesignal-to-noiseratio(SNR).Aone-passalgorithmusinglogarithmicsegmentationisfurtherderivedtoestimatemedianswithlowcomputationalcomplexity.Finally,theFDISisimplementedinafieldprogrammablegatearray(FPGA)ofXilinx.ExperimentsarecarriedoutbyconnectingtheFDISFPGAtoaDSSSreceiver,andtheresultsshowthatthereceiverhasaneffectivecountermeasurefora60dBinterference-to-signalratio(ISR).

简介:Thegravityp-medianmodelisanimportantimprovementtothewidely-usedp-medianmodel.However,thereisstilladebateonitsvalidityinempiricalapplications.Previousstudiesevendoubtthesignificanceofthegravityp-medianmodel.UsingacasestudyoftertiaryhospitalsinShenzhen,China,thisstudyre-examinesthedifferencebetweenthegravityp-medianmodelwiththep-medianmodel,bydecomposingthedifferencebetweenthetwomodelsintogravityruleandvariantattraction.Thisstudyalsoproposesamodifiedgravityp-medianmodelbyincorporatingadistancethreshold.Theempiricalresultssupportthevalidityofthegravityp-medianmodel,andalsorevealthatonlywhentheattractionsofcandidatefacilitylocationsarevariablewillthegravityp-medianmodelleadtodifferentresultswiththep-medianmodel.Thedifferencebetweenthemodifiedgravityp-medianmodelandthegravityp-medianmodelisalsoexamined.Moreover,theimpactsofthedistance-decayparameteranddistancethresholdonsolutionsareinvestigated.Resultsindicatethatalargerdistance-decayparametertendstoresultinamoredisperseddistributionofoptimalfacilitiesandasmalleraveragetraveltime,andasmallerdistancethresholdcanbetterpromotethespatialequityoffacilities.Theproposedmethodcanalsobeappliedinstudiesofothertypesoffacilitiesorinotherareas.

简介:Earthquakeengineershavemadealotofeffortstoderiveacomprehensivesetofclosedformexpressionsforperformanceevaluationofframes,whicharealreadypresentedinguidelinessuchasSAC/FEMA.Theseanalyticalexpressionshavebeendevelopedtoestimatetheannualprobabilityofexceedingalimitstate.Intheprocessofsuchseismicassessments,someessentialassumptionsareadoptedtosimplifytheprocess.Oneofthesefundamentalassumptionsdeclaresthatdriftdemandatanyseismicintensitylevelfollowsalognormaldistributionarounditsmedian.Toinvestigatethevalidityofthisassumption,thispaperdescribesacasestudyofthetypesoferrorsthatcouldbeproducedbyusingthesamplemedianasthecentraltendency.BasedontheMaximumLikelihoodEstimationmethodaswellasotherstatisticalevidence,thispaperproposestheuseofthesamplegeometricmeaninsteadofthesamplemedianforthecentraltendency.Further,theresultsofseismicreliabilityevaluationsof4sampleframesarecomparedbasedonutilizingboththegeometricmeanandthesamplemedian.Inthisprocess,bothfirstandsecondorderpowerlawfitsofthehazardcurveareimplementedtocomparetheeffectsofhazardestimationandtheselectionofthecentraltendencyonthefinalresults.Itisobservedintheapplicationexamplethatthesamplegeometricmeancouldleadtomoreaccurateresults.
