简介:InfluenceofadditivesandcompositionofthematrixonmecharicalpropertiesofSialonbondedcorundumbrickwithappropriatenitridationsinteringcurvewasinvestigatedinpresentpaper.ThephasecompositionandmicrostructureofthesinteredspecimenwereanalyzedbymeansofSEMandXRD.Theresultsindicatethatwithappropriatecontentofultra-finealuminapowderandaditiveA,bothcoldandhotmechanicalpropertiesofspeimensarenotablyenhanced.Themicrostructureofspecimenisdenseandwithlessporosity,Mainphaseofthespecimeniscorundum,β-sialonisalsoobservedasthebondingphase,littleimpurityisobserved.

简介:X-rayfluorescencespectrometry(XRF),X-raypowderdiffractometry(XRD)andscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM)wereusedtocharacterizethechemicalcomposition,phaseconstituentandmicrostructureofthecoalgasificationslag.Sialonpowdersweresynthesizedbycarbothermalreductionandnitridationusingthecoalgasificationslagasrawmaterials.Theexperimentalresultsshowedthatglassandamorphouscarbonwerethemainphases,quartzandcalciteasminorcrystallinephaseswerealsopresentedinporouscoalgasificationslag.MainconstituentsofcoalgasificationslagwereSiO2,Al2O3,CaOandresidualcarbon.SialonpowderwithCa-α-Sialonasmaincrystallinephasecanbesynthesizedwhencoalgasificationslagpowderswerereducedandnitridedat1500℃for9husingnitrogenflowof500ml/min.ThecoalgasificationslagisavaluableandeconomicstartingmaterialforpreparingSialonpowders.

简介:Thermalshockresistantpropertiesofreactionsinteredbauxite-basedβ-Sialonbondedcorundumhavebeeninvestigated,andtheresultsarecomparedwiththoseofAl2O3basedcounterpart.Itisfoundtheyallhaveverygoodthermalshockresistance.Theirresidualstrengthratiosafteronethermalshockcycleat△T=1200℃and△T=1350℃are61%~73%and53%~65%respectively.Theircriticaltemperaturedifference(TSR)is600℃~800℃.TSRparametersarecalculatedbasedonthermalexpansion,modulusofelasticity,andfracturetoughnessdetermined.ThereasonsforimprovingTSRofthesecompositematerialsarediscussed.
