  • 简介:Inthispaper,weconsiderthemulti-dimensionalasymptoticpreservingunifiedgaskineticschemeforgrayradiativetransferequationsondistortedquadrilateralmeshes.Differentfromtheformerscheme[J.Comput.Phys.285(2015),265-279]onuniformmeshes,inthispaper,inordertoobtaintheboundaryfluxesbasedontheframeworkofunifiedgaskineticscheme(UGKS),weusetherealmulti-dimensionalreconstructionfortheinitialdataandthemacro-termsintheequationofthegraytransferequations.Wecanprovethattheschemeisasymptoticpreserving,andespeciallyforthedistortedquadrilateralmeshes,anine-pointscheme[SIAMJ.SCI.COMPUT.30(2008),1341-1361]forthediffusionlimitequationsisobtained,whichisnaturallyreducedtostandardfive-pointschemefortheorthogonalmeshes.Thenumericalexamplesondistortedmeshesareincludedtovalidatethecurrentapproach.

  • 简介:Aneffectivedamagetestmethodbasedonamarker-basedwatershedalgorithmwithgraycontrol(MWGC)isproposedtostudythepropertiesofdamageinducedbynear-fieldlaserirradiationforlarge-aperturelaserfacilities.Damagetestswereperformedonfusedsilicasamplesandinformationonthesizeofdamagesiteswasobtainedbythisnewalgorithm,whichcaneffectivelysuppresstheissueofover-segmentationofimagesresultingfromnon-uniformilluminationindarkfieldimaging.Experimentalanalysisandresultsshowthatthelateraldamagegrowthontheexitsurfaceisexponential,andthenumberofdamagesitesdecreasessharplywithdamagesitesizeinthedamagesitedistributionstatistics.TheaveragedamagegrowthcoefficientsfittedaccordingtotheexperimentalresultsforCorning-7980andHeraeus-Suprasil312samplesat351nmare1.10±0.31and0.60±0.09,respectively.

  • 简介:Laser-induceddamageinfusedsilicaopticsgreatlyrestrictstheperformancesoflaserfacilities.Grayhazedamage,whichisalwaysinitiatedonceriapolishedoptics,isoneofthemostimportantdamagemorphologiesinfusedsilicaoptics.Inthispaper,thelaser-inducedgrayhazedamagesoffourfusedsilicasamplespolishedwithCeO_2,Al_2O_3,ZrO_2,andcolloidalsilicaslurriesareinvestigated.Foursamplesallpresentgrayhazedamageswithmuchdifferentdamagedensities.Then,thepolishing-inducedcontaminantandsubsurfacedamagesinfoursamplesareanalyzed.TheresultsrevealthatthegrayhazedamagescouldbeinitiatedonthesampleswithoutCecontaminantandareinclinedtoshowatightcorrelationwiththeshallowsubsurfacedamages.
