简介：Ultrashortpulsesweregeneratedinpassivelymode-lockedNd:YAGandNd:GdVO4laserspumpedbyapulsedlaserdiodewith10-Hzrepetitionrate.Stablemode-lockedpulsetrainswereproducedwiththepulsewidthof10ps.Theevolutionofthemode-lockedpulsewasobservedintheexperimentandwasdiscussedindetail.ComparingthepulseevolutionsofNd:YAGandNd:GdVO4lasers,wefoundthatthebuilduptimeofthesteady-statemode-lockingwithsemiconductorsaturableabsorbermirrors(SESAMs)wasrelevanttotheupper-statelifetimeandtheemissioncross-sectionofthegainmedium.
