简介:Toenhancetheservicelifeofmagnesiabasedslagdam,compositeslagdamwasdesignedtobecastwithaluminamagnesiacastablesinslaglineandmagnesiacastablesinmoltensteelzone.Workabilityofthemagnesiacastablesfortheslagdamwasimprovedandasuitablevibrationshapingmethodwasadoptedtocombineitwithaluminamagnesiacastables.Theresultshows:(1)workabilityandsettingperformanceofmagnesiacastablescanbeimprovedtomatchwithaluminamagnesiacastablesbyadjustingsettingretarderandwaterreducingagent,andaddingpropersilicafume;(2)compositeslagdamcanbepreparedwithaluminamagnesiacastablesandtheimprovedmagnesiacastables,whetherbyup-downcompositemethodorright-leftcompositemethod;inordertogetfullvibrationandmakeinterfacefluctuationhaveproperamplitude,thevibrationtimeofthetwomethodsaftertwodifferentcastablescontactwitheachotheris3and2.5minutes,respectively;(3)theresultoftheon-sitetestprovesthatthedesignaimsforreducingpollutiontohotmetalandimprovingcorrosionresistancehavebeenachieved.
