简介：Qualityofhighereducationisakeytonationaleconomicgrowthandsocialdevelopment.Internationalizationofhighereducationhasbeenoneofthemajornationaltrendsandgovernmentalagendasinmanyemergingcountriesinthepastfewyears.Internationaleducationistransformative.WithglobalizationandthedevelopmentoftheInternetofThings,internationalizationofhighereducationhasbecomeanimportantnationalgoalinChina.Thepurposeofthispaperisthreefold:(a)todescribeabriefhistoryofinternationalizationofhighereducationinChina;(b)toconceptualizethedualismofinternationalizationofhighereducation,theroleofthegovernment,andChina’s13thFiveYearPlaninChina;and(c)todelineatethechallengesandopportunitiesofinternationalcollaborations,especiallyinthedual-degreemodelunderinternationalpartnershipprogramsbetweenChinaandtheUnitedStates.
