Corrosion behavior of steel rebar in coal gangue-based mortars

摘要 Corrosionofsteelrebaristhemostimportantdurabilityproblemofreinforcedconcrete.Theaimofthisresearchwastoinvestigatethecorrosionbehaviorofsteelrebarinsimulatedporesolutionsandgangue-blendedcementmortar.Thesimulatedporesolutionswerebasedontheporesolutioncompositionofgangue-blendedcement.ThepHandCl-concentrationofsimulatedporesolutionshadsignificanteffectsoncorrosionpotential.However,anincreaseinpHreducedtheinfluenceofCl-concentra-tiononcorrosionpotential.Thecorrosionbehaviorofsteelrebaringangue-blendedcementisdifferentfromthatinsimulatedsolutions.Theganguecementitiousmortarsurroundingsteelrebarprovidesstablepassivityenvironmentsforsteel,leadingtoadecreaseiniondiffusioncoefficients.Alternatingcurrentimpedance(ACI)analysisresultsindicatedthattheindicatorRcforconcreteresistivityishigherforganguemortarthanforordinaryPortlandcement(OPC),whichimprovesitscorrosionpotential.TheresultsfromenergydispersiveX-rayanalysis(EDX)showedmorealuminatesandsilicatesattherebarinterfaceforgangue-blendedcement.Thesealuminatesimprovethechloridebindingcapacityofhydratesinmortar,andincreasethecorrosionprotectionofsteelrebar.
