摘要
Weinvestigatetheopticalbistabilityandmultistabilitybehaviorsinaclosedthree-levelΛ-typeatomicsystem.Byaddingasidebandoneitherhandofthetransitionswhichareoriginallycoupledbyacoherentcontrolfieldandacoherentprobefieldtodisturbthetwo-photonresonance,bistabilityoccursduetotwo-channelinterference.IncreasingthesidebandRabifrequencyleadstotheswitchingfrombistabilitytotristability.Whenthesidebandsimultaneouslycoupleswithbothhands,wecaneasilyobtainquadrastability.
