HenanProvinceinCentralChinaistakingthefightagainstHIV/AIDSclosertohomewith76officialspostedinvillagesseriouslyaffectedbythedeadlyvirus.Theofficials—dividedinto38pairs—arefrom38provincialgovernmentdepartments,suchasthehealthandfinancebureaux,willbestationedin38villagesforayear.TheystarttheirworkonFebruary18afterreceivingAIDSpreventiontraining.Thereareatleast10HIV/AIDSsufferersinthedesignatedvillagesandsomeofthemhaveupto400,saysGuoWeiqun,deputydirectorofthegeneralofficeofHenanHealthBureau.
