摘要
Thepedagogyoflanguageteachinghasmovedfromoneextreme-GrammarTranslationMethodtotheother-CommunicativeLanguageTeaching.TodayFormFocusedInstruction(FFI)hasemerged,intendingtobringlanguageformsinstructionbacktothecommunicativelanguageclassroom.Despiteoftheapprovalofthisnewapproach,thereisahotdisputeonitstwotypesofapplication:FocusonFormorFocusonFormS.ThisarticlebrieflyanalyzesFFIinrecentresearchstudieswithfocusonthechoicebetweenthetwotypesofapplication.ThetentativeconclusionisFFIdoesshowsomeexplicitandreliableeffectsonaccuracyanderroreliminationinlanguageteaching;however,theinvestigationintoitsapplicationisnotsimplyeitherFocusonFormorFocusonFormS,butfocusesontheoptimalcombinationofthetwointeaching.
