摘要 Themodelofrigidandelastic-plasticmotionandstraininintraplateblocksisestablishedinthepaper.Theuniqueofstrainparametersandminimumroot-mean-squareerrorofvelocityresidualofblocksaretestedinthemodel.BasedonthevelocityfieldsinChinesemainlandanditsperipheralareas,thestrainparametersof8blocksareestimatedandtheirstrainstatusanalyzed.Theestimatedstrainstatusofeachblockiswellconsistentwiththosederivedbythemethodsofgeologyandgeophysics.TheprincipaldirectionofcollisionforcefromIndiaplatetoEurasiaplateestimatedfromtheazimuthofprincipalcompressivestrainofHimalayablockmightbeN7.1°E.
