摘要
NewObservationsonphosphatizedSpheroidalFossilsinSinianDoushantuoanPhosphoritesinWeng'an,GuizhouProvinceInrecentyearsmuchattentionhasbeenpaidtophosphatizedspheroidalfossilsfoundintheSinianDoushantuoanphosphoritesinweng'an,GuizhouProvince.Disputeshavebeenlongexistedabouttheirphylogeneticaffinity.Basedonsomenewdiscoveriesandthepresentknowledge,someresearchersinterpretsomeofthephosphatizedspheroidalfossilsasanimalembryos,whereasothersholodtheutterlyidifferentviewthattheypaper,basedonnewdataofsomespheriodalfossilsindiscussedandreinterpreted.Itisobviousthatthephosphatizedspheroidalfossilassemblagefoundinweng'anconsistsofcyanobacteria,benthicmelticellularalgae,planktonicacritarchsandotherfossilswithuncertainassignments,andprovideanexceptionallywell-preservedphosphatizedLagerstatten.
