AHBP：An Efficient Broadcast Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks-中国期刊网

摘要 Broadcastisanimportantoperationinmanynetworkprotocols.Itisutilizedtodiscoverroutestounknownnodesinmobileadhocnetworks(MANETs)andisthekeyfactorinscalingon-demandroutingprotocolstolargenetworks.ThispaperpresentstheAdHocBroadcastProtocol(AHBP)anditsperformanceisdiscussed.Intheprotocol,messagesareonlyrebroadcastbybroadcastrelaygatewaysthatconstituteaconnecteddominatingsetofthenetwork.AHBPcanefficientlyreducetheredundantmessageswhichmakeflooding-likeprotocolsperformbadlyinlargedensenetworks.Simulationsareconductedtodeterminetheperformancecharacteristicsoftheprotocol.ThesimulationresultshaveshownexcellentreductionofbroadcastredundancywithAHBP.Italsocontributestoareducedlevelofbroadcastcollisionandcongestion.
