MicrocavitystructureconsistingofdistributedBraggreflectorandmetalaluminummirrorisdesigned.Usingtris(8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminumaselectron-transportlayerandemissivelayer,andN,Nˊ-bis(3-methylphenyl)-N,Nˊ-diphenylbenzidineasahole-transportlayer,microcavityorganiclight-emittingdiodes(MOLEDs)arefabricated.Comparedtotheelectroluminescencespectraofnon-cavityOLEDs,thelinewidthoftheMOLEDsiscompressedfrom75nmto7nm,andthepeakintensityenhancesbyafactorofabout3.Whentheeffectivelengthofthemicrocavityismodified,resonancewavelengthcanbeselectivelyscannedoveraverywiderangeofwavelengthsthatcoveralmost140nm.
