摘要
Glowdischargeisintroducedasanartificialdisturbancetoinvestigatetheevolutionoffirst-andsecond-modeinstabilitiesinahypersonicflatplateboundarylayer.ExperimentsareconductedinaMach6.5quietwindtunnelusingRayleighscatteringvisualizationandparticleimagevelocimetry(PIV).Detailedanalysisoftheexperimentalobservationsisprovided.Itisfoundthattheartificiallyintroduced17kHzdisturbance,whichbelongstothefirst-modefrequencyband,caneffectivelyenhancefirst-modewaves.Moreover,itcanenhancesecond-modewavesevenmoreintensely.Possiblemechanismstoexplainthisphenomenonarediscussed.
