IntroductionAlthoughtheapplicationofmicrowavetechniquehasbeenreportedasanewtypeofenergysourcechemically,itisonlyinrecentyearsthatthistechniquehasbeenusedastheenergysourcefororganicsynthesis.In1986,R.Gedye,etal.,publishedthereportofthebenzoatesynthesisfromtherespectivereactionsbetweenbenzenecarboxylicacidandmethanol,propanolorbutanolundermicrowaveheatingandthecatalysisofH2SO4.
