摘要
ICSED(ImprovedClusterShadeEdgeDetection)algorithmandothervariousmethodstoaccuratelyandefficientlydetectedgesonsatellitedataarepresented.ErrorratecriterionisusedtostatisticallyevaluatetheperformancesofthesemethodsindetectingoceanicfeaturesforbothnoisefreeandnoisecontaminatedAVHRR(AdvancedVeryHighResolutionRadiometer)IRimagewithKuroshio.Also,practicalexperimentsindetectingtheeddyofKuroshiowiththesemethodsarecarriedoutforcomparison.ResultsshowthattheICSEDalgorithmhasmoreadvantagesthanothermethodsindetectingmesoscalefeaturesofocean.Finally,theeffectivenessofwindowsizeofICSEDmethodtooceanicfeaturesdetectionisquantitativelydiscussed.
