摘要
Theeffectsofheatlossonthestructureoflaminarflamelets,whicharetheconstitutiveelementsofturbulentflamesunderthemostcommonoperatingconditions,areinvestigatedfortypicalaeronauticalgas-turbineoperatingconditionsattake-off.Themagnitudeofheatlossisquantifiedviathe"enthalpydefect"measuredwithrespecttoanadiabaticflame.Aproceduretogeneratelaminarflameletswithanassignedenthalpydefectattheboundariesisdevisedandappliedtononpremixedpropane/airflames,aspropanereproducestheessentialfeaturesofhigherhydrocarboncombustion.Itisfound,contrarytocommonlyheldbeliefs,thattheenthalpydefecthasasignificanteffectontheconcentrationnotonlyofminorspecies,butalsoofmainreactionproducts.Sucheffectsarefoundingeneraltobemorepronouncedforfuel-richconditions.Animpactisanticipatedontheformationrateofnitricoxides.Theeffectsofscalardissipationratearealsodiscussed.
