Shear Failure of a Clamped Dented Tubular Beam Under Lateral Impact-中国期刊网

摘要 -Theshearfailureofarigid-plasticdentedclampedtubularbeamunderthelateralimpactofamassisinvestigated.Boththedentingandtheimpactpointareinthemiddlespanofthebeam.Itisassumedthatdentingdoesnotspreadduringtheshearsliding.Numericalresultsshowthattheaxialforceandlateraldeflectionofthebeamareverysmallatthemomentoftheoccurenceofshearfailure,whichmeansthatthefinitedeformationeffectcanbeneglectedintheshearfailureanalysis.Also,someaspectsoftheinitialimpactenergyareinvestigated.
