摘要 Supportvectormachines(SVM)receivedwideattentionforitsexcellentabilitytolearn,ithasbeenappliedinmanyfields.AreviewoftheapplicationofSVMinwelddefectdetectionandrecognitionofX-rayimageisbeenpresented.WewillshowsomecommonlyusedmethodsofwelddefectdetectionandrecognitionusingSVM,andtheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofeachmethodwillbediscussed.SVMappearstobepromisinginwelddefectdetectionandrecognition,butfutureresearchisneededbeforeitfullymatureinthisfiled.
