摘要 Thispaperproposesakindofmodulationarchitectureforwavelength-division-multiplexingpassiveopticalnetwork(WDM-PON)employingopticaldifferentialquadraturephaseshiftkeying(DQPSK)downstreamsignalsandtwodifferentmodu-lationformatsofre-modulatedupstreamsignals.Attheopticallineterminal(OLT),10Gbit/ssignalismodulatedwithDQPSK.Attheopticalnetworkunit(ONU),partofthedownstreamsignalisre-modulatedwithon-offkeying(OOK)orinverse-return-to-zero(IRZ).SimulationresultsshowtheimpactonthesystememployingNRZ,RZandcarrier-suppressedreturn-to-zero(CSRZ).Theanalysesalsoreflectthatthearchitecturecanrestrainchromaticdispersionandchannelcrosstalk,whichmakesitthebestarchitectureofaccessnetworkinthefuture.
