摘要
Inthispaper,thebasicconditionsandcharacteristicsoftheDatong-Yanggaoearthquakearedescribedindetail.Thetypeoftheearthquake,theaftershockactivity,theearthquaketrend,thecharacteristicsofdamageareanalyzedanddiscussed.Thisearthquakebelongstoasequenceofearthquakeswarmtypeandisoftheconcentratedlyoccurringcharacteristicsofseveralmainshocksinatimesequence,andtheaftershockactivitywasnormallyattenuated.Becauseoftheunreasonabledesignofbuildingsandrepeatedvibrationbyseveraldestructivemainshockswithinashortperiod,thedamageinthehighintensityregionwasaggravated.Theanalysisandthepredictionprocedureofthe1991Datong-Yanggaoearthquake(Ms=5.8)arealsobrieflygiven.
