摘要
Wereportacaseofsyndromicgingivalfibromatosiswithnotableocularlesions,bilateralcongenitalcataracts,esotropia,andhighmyopiaofa21-year-oldmalepatientfromChina.Thepatientwasdiagnosedwithgingivalfibromatosisbasedonhismassivegingivalovergrowthandhistologicalfindingsthatwereconsistentwithgingivalfibromatosisthroughagingivalbiopsy.Lensopacityfeatureswerepresentedandphacoemulsificaionwithintraocularlens(IOL)implantationwasperformedtomanagethecataractsinbotheyes.Transmissionelectronicmicroscopywasusedtoinvestigatetheultrastructureoftheremovedlenstissue.Wealsoreviewtheliteratureongingivalfibromatosisandbrieflysummarizetheocularmanifestationsofthisraredisease.
