Five-year Follow-up after Percutaneous Mechanical Mitral Commissurotomy-中国期刊网

摘要 ObjectivesToassessfive-yearresultsaftersuccessfulpercutaneousmechanicalmitralcommissurotomy(PMMC).MethodsThirty-fourselectedpatientswithrheumaticmitralstenosisunderwentPMMCsuccessfullyinGuangdongcardiovascularinstitutebetweenFebruary2001andAugust2002.Serialechocardiogramswereperformedinallpatientsatbaseline,dischargeandannuallythereafter.ResultsFive-yearfollow-upratewas97.1%.Five-yearsurvivalratewas100%.BeforeandafterPMMCandatfollow-up,meanmitralvalveareabytwo-dimensionalechocardiographywas(0.87±0.15)cm2,(2.11±0.38)cm2and(1.81±0.36)cm2,respectively(P<0.01).Five-yearmitralrestenosisratewas6.1%.ConclusionPMMCcanachieveexcellentandsustainedlong-termresultsinselectedpatientswithmitralechocardiographicscoreexceedingorbeingequalto9.
